Hello YLs & OM!This is TA2RC,Ozer.I’m 46 years old,living, together with my YL and have a doughter,Ozgu.We are living near Izmit NW Turkey(KN40us) with our hunting dogs, Dino, Ciga and our guard dog Yogi,in a garden house,near sea-side.I’m a medical doctor and specialist to internal medicine and also hemodialysis.
My interest to HAM radio began after 1999 Izmit Earthquake.Because all communications collapsed after earthquake and HAM radio was a solid communication way.I have bad experiences at my hospital during earthquake because of collapsed communication.Between May 2000 and May 2001,I was studied HAM radio at A.R.C.S. TA2KI and have a good examination at May 2001 for directly Class 1!Get licence at 06 June 2001.
When I was a 16 days of licenced HAM,joined to YM0KI team(new IOTA reference AS-159 Kefken Island&new lighthouse ARLHS TUR-058,WLH-0691,22 to 25 June 2001) and operated SSB.I have the chance of receiving provisional IOTA number AS-159 from IOTA manager for my team.That was a great pleasure for a rookie! My other hobbies are bird hunting,carp fishing and snow skiing and these are also good for operating mobile and portable trips.I especially enjoy to mobile pile-ups with DX stations.
Now, my main interests on radio are DX,award-hunting and major contests. My contest call is YM0T and contest QTH is Kefken Island, IOTA AS-159.I am two world record holder(CQ WW DX SSB,160,low power and CQ WPX SSB,160,low power)
I have a big pleasure for being a member of TA2KI(A.R.C.S. Izmit, works together with civil defence authorities and ready 7/24 for especially North Anatolian Fight Zone emergencies).I am ready for emergencies with my mobile-portable and base stations also.
